As a rule I use Firefox 3.6.24 all the time for my browsing as it works well for Systems Director and Hardware Management Console (HMC). Later Firefox versions have "variable" results which re frustrating and that just slow me down. The Firefox developer when mad and got to version 8 suddenly over what appeared to be a few weeks but have realised the Web based application developers can't cope with that level of change and new versions were not backward compatible (things broke).
For me, the documentation link above gives me a completely blank page like below:
I just assumed the docs were not ready as we are still a few days before the official Generally Available date (from my memory 16th Dec 2011) but that is not the case. When I tried Internet Explorer 8, the page is full of the latest information. I sent email about this and half a dozen people said Firefox 3.6 works and about the same number said it did not work and goes the blank page. I don't have an answer to what is causing this at the moment but I am thinking, if I and a handful of other early adopters of 6.3 get a blank screen then it can happen to many people in the near future. Hence this blog. The documentation is there ... see below:
I hope this blog helps other Firefox 3.6 users, Nigel Griffiths
