WebSphere MQ Clustering - Workload balancing - Round Robin Processing
One huge advantage of WebSphere MQ Clustering is workload balancing. You can have more than one instance of the same queue on different queue managers in the cluster. This gives you lots of advantages: increased availability of queues and applications, faster processing of messages, and a more even distribution of workload in your network.
Examples of the same cluster queue on different queue managers:
Cluster queue manager 'A' has a queue called 'ATM.QUERY'
Considerations for workload balancing:
The workload algorithm selects destinations based on: the state of the channel, the availability of the queue manager, and the availability of the queue. For a complete details see:
The cluster workload management algorithm.
