WebSphere Application Server Service Integration Technology Message store problems and solutions
Hey WebSphere Application Server Service Integration Technology AKA Service Integration Bus (SIB) users. Have you ever had a problem with message store (either with file store or data store)?
In addition to the above, some common general message store problems also could cause the Service Integration Bus functional issues.
The Service Integration Bus technology can seem complicated at times, so if you have encountered a message store problem then you probably have called IBM Support for help getting your message store problem solved. However, in many cases did you know that it is very likely that you did not need to do that? The chances are very good that you had all the information you needed to resolve the problem on your own, but perhaps you just did not know it. Maybe you knew the information was there and just did not know what to look for or what to do when you found a problem.
Many message store problems are caused by either configuration or runtime issues or both. In an effort to help you help yourself, we have created a new Knowledge Collection document to combine a list of documents dealing with message flow problems and what you need to do to resolve them. We have included several technotes that deal with message flow problems and in those documents we tell you what to look for and what to do to correct those problems.
We also wanted to provide you with a list of some other information to help you learn more about this area in case you are interested in doing that. So we also included a number of links to webcast replays or other documents and publications. These other items and links should help you better understand message store problems and the Service Integration Bus technology in general. Then finally we included a list of other WebSphere Application Server knowledge collections that offer similar guidance on problems in other areas. If you have not checked out this document yet, you should take a couple minutes just to look and see all the great information that will be right in one spot in case you ever have to deal with message store issues:
Hopefully this will save you time and the trouble of having to open a problem record if you know where to find the information and what it means. If you know of any other message store problems issues we did not cover in this Knowledge Collection, please let us know and we will be very happy to include them also.
