Abstract
Using a CCDT file from WebSphere Application Server to access WebSphere MQ queue managers
Body
Hello MQ Fans!
If you are using the WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and want to access a group of WebSphere MQ (WMQ) queue managers (separate queue managers or a multi-instance queue manager), one alternative is to use a Client Channel Definition Table (CCDT).
The following are some useful techdocs that may help you in configuring a Connection Factory or an Activation Specification that uses a CCDT:
a) If you are using multi-instance queue managers, here are 2 techdocs with full instructions:
- Techdoc 7020701 - Using a CCDT file to connect to WebSphere MQ multi-instance queue managers from WebSphere Application Server V7
The objective of this technical document is to describe in detail how to exploit from the WebSphere Application Server the connection to Multi-Instance Queue Managers in WebSphere MQ 7.0.1, by using a MQ "Client Channel Definition Table" (CCDT).
- Techdoc 7020700 - Using custom property connectionNameList to connect to WebSphere MQ multi-instance queue managers from WebSphere Application Server V7
The objective of this technical document is to describe in detail how to exploit, from the WebSphere Application Server the connection to Multi-Instance Queue Managers in WebSphere MQ 7.0.1, a custom property called "connectionNameList" for Activation Specifications or "XMSC_WMQ_CONNECTION_NAME_LIST" for Connection Factories.
b) If you are NOT using multi-instance queue managers, but separate queue managers in a group, then here are 2 relevant techdocs:
- Techdoc 7035452 - Using CCDT in a Connection Factory for a Queue Manager Group of separate queue managers in WAS V7
This technical document describes the steps for configuring a Connection Factory in WebSphere Application Server V7 that uses a Client Channel Definition Table (CCDT) file for a Queue Manager Group in WebSphere MQ V7 that use separate queue managers.
- Techdoc 7035714 - Using CCDT in an Activation Specification for a Queue Manager Group of separate queue managers in WAS V7
This technical document describes the steps for configuring an Activation Specification in WebSphere Application Server V7 that uses a Client Channel Definition Table (CCDT) file for separate queue managers in a Queue Manager Group in WebSphere MQ V7.
Thanks!
