How does this tool make things better?
This new tool is being designed to try to help you quickly find a solution in a straight forward manner. There is a great deal of valuable information already available out there in a variety of places and it is not always easy to find the piece of information you need. For example, there is a huge amount of valuable information in the on-line Information Centers but it is not always easy to find the information you need to solve a problem. One of the reasons this is true is that the information center information is generally designed as a reference tool. The information center design is quite often from the perspective of having a task or set of tasks to complete. The information center documentation is usually very good at stepping you through that set of tasks and helping to explain why you are taking those steps. This is excellent if you are just designing something or setting something up for the first time or even if you know you have a problem in that set up and you know that you need to go through the steps to verify things are correct. If you are having a problem, however, and you do not know that the problem is due to some missing or incorrect setup, then you do not know that you need to review and follow those steps in the information center in order to resolve your problem.
How can you help make it even better?
The initial edition of the Dynamic Problem Determination Tool was designed to address issues where the WMB user is experiencing problems with Broker runtime commands. There are other problem areas already under design with many more planned to be added into this tool in the future. The WMB support team would love to hear your feedback on the tool.
