Today I am very pleased to introduce the FAQ for JRules Business Rule Management System.
Working with JRules for a long time, I forget that this is a product with numerous new users, and that It can appear complex at first.
Looking at your discussions on the forums, your requests to the support teams, we notice recurring questions. We see knowledge that every new user will need to acquire to get familiar with the product.
I have also noticed that if we provide a lot of answers online, in the infocenter, in technotes, on the support site, it is not always easy for you to search for them. Did you know for example that you can limit Google search just by adding the keywords site
In an attempt to make your life easier we are introducing the FAQ, a new type of document where we answer the frequently asked questions and provide you with the keys to find solutions to your problem.
If you are installing or using JRules and you are looking for help start with this FAQ about WebSphere ILOG JRules. For Rule Team Server we provide this dedicated FAQ about WebSphere ILOG Rule Team Server and for Decision Validation Services we have published this FAQ about WebSphere ILOG Decision Validation Services.
If you are wondering about our new product WebSphere Operational Decision Management (WODM), the FAQs are listed in my next blog entry "You have a question about WODM, maybe it's a FAQ".
We are just getting started. These documents are alive and will grow as we learn more about your needs. We need your feedback; each FAQ has a section for your suggestions, I encourage you to use it.
If the information is not compelling enough for you to add a bookmark to you favorite browser, tell us and we will improve.
What do you think of this initiative? Do you see the benefit for you? How can we help you better?
Thanks for your input,
