Beginning with v8 of MQ, the product was renamed from WebSphere MQ to IBM MQ. Now that v9 has been available for a while, we thought it was a good time to rename the product in the IBM Support Portal from WebSphere MQ to IBM MQ. Consequently, we have a new URL. If you have any bookmarks to the old page, you should update them to the new IBM MQ Support Portal page. We have put redirects in place to handle most forms of the old WebSphere MQ URL, but there are some variants that might not properly redirect to the new IBM MQ page. In these cases, you will definitely want to update your bookmark(s) to: https://www.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/product/websphere/ibm_mq
To find the new page from the main IBM Support Portal site, you can search on MQ, IBM MQ, or even WebSphere MQ. You will see the choice for IBM MQ in the search results as shown below. Note: You will not see "WebSphere MQ" in the search results since it has been replaced by "IBM MQ" in Support Portal.
There's one other change you will want to make. You'll want to make sure that your My Notifications subscriptions also include IBM MQ. Keep WebSphere MQ active too, since the transition phase for our documents will take some time, so you'll want to make sure that you receive notifications for both WebSphere MQ documents as well as IBM MQ documents. It's also a good time to see if there are other products that you want to follow. To manage your My Notifications subscriptions, go the My Notifications site: https://www.ibm.com/support/mynotifications
You might have also noticed that the IBM Support Portal has a new look for all products. This change occurred at the same time as our product rename for the IBM MQ Support Portal page.
