I do not know if you have already noticed that in the main screen of Asset there exists a flag titled "Maintain Hierarchy?" Well, this flag is evil .... When is the opportune time to perform maintenance?
In some cases, when the
asset is already out of service or down for repairs. When the asset is already down,

often occur when an asset just recently returned to service, must be taken back
out of service for more maintenance. Maximo for Transportation’s
Maintenance Alert feature helps to identify these opportunities to perform as
much work as possible while you have the asset down. This feature can... [More]

When editing the description from a record the user is unable to immediately search by description and find this record

What's In A Name? Maximo Nuclear!
What's in a Name? This simple question resonates with English speakers as part of a famous dialog in William Shakespeare's well-known play, Romeo and Juliette. This question, immortalized by The Bard in the sixteenth century, remains powerful to the present day. In its simplicity, the question suggests the distinction between what we label something, and what it actually is. The question also serves as a way to introduce an important development in the way Maximo Nuclear is bringing value to customers outside the realm of commercial nuclear... [More]
