Since those are cumulative, it might be worth applying the latest version and therefore include the more recent APAR fixes delivered for that specific fixpack level. You might therefore want to check out the " Maximo Interim Fixes " blog on IBM DeveloperWorks: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/connect/maximoifix You can find the latest Interim Fixes that were... Today, I'm going to go over step by step installing a Maximo 7.6 Feature Pack. It is very similar to the process for installing Interim Fixes, which I documented at Installing an Interim Fix in Maximo 7.6 . I thought that a post dedicated solely to Feature Pack installation would be useful. Feature Pack releases differ from older Fix Pack releases in that, in addition to bug fixes and compatibility notices, new functionality may be added. See Maximo 7.6 Maintenance Delivery Strategy for more... [More]

I reached out to L3 Development team and received information back . I am going to cut and paste the information below and the tool used to replace tuneSystem. The tuneSystem feature is deprecated. We will create a tech note for this topic and add it to the Information Center to inform that this function will no longer be used. In order to... [More]

Using MessageSight you might want to use the syslog forwarding feature in order to centralize your logs and create alerts/incidents based on them. Before using this feature you need to know how syslog packets are sent and what format is being used. The syslog packets are sent to a process on the appliance that is forwarding the messages externally. This process is using syslog-ng format as described in RFC 6587. You can check the format on below link: Transmission of Syslog Messages over TCP https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6587 One... [More]
