A new feature pack for Maximo for Service Providers, version 220.127.116.11 is available to be downloaded at IBM Support - Fix Central - http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/. The fix ID is 18.104.22.168-TIV-SP-FP002 and the readme is 22.214.171.124-TIV-SPRDOC-FP0002.
It is adding new features for Billing asset and location usage, updating work orders in open bill batches, specifying premium pay for crafts and schedule copy work orders, sales order and tickets to bill lines in a cron task and run as a background process. It also included interim fixes.
This new pack is supported on Maximo 126.96.36.199 or later versions with Maximo for Service Providers 188.8.131.52 or Maximo for Service Providers 184.108.40.206.
- Billing asset and location usage
When recording usage, the customer is no longer inherited from the asset or location and any active customer for the asset or location usage can be selected. We now also allow you to specify multiple usage entries within the same month. A new option to bill these usages by financial period was created, where you can bill for usage that was measured during the financial period that is prior to the current financial period on the customer billing.
These changes provide service providers more flexibility when generating customer bills and make recording of usage simpler and more intuitive.
- Updating work orders in open bill batches
In the prior versions of Service Provider, if you have a Price Schedule to “Bill Approved Work” and a Bill with an approved Work Order, all new transactions added to the work order were automatically copied to the billing record.
Now the new transactions are not going to be copied automatically. You have to select the “Copy WO’s, Tickets and SOs” button on the Customer billing application to get the new transactions.
This change allows the client to control what transactions are in the Bill Batch and reduces performance impacts of previous automatic updates.
- Specifying premium pay for crafts
In previous versions if you set a Pricing Rules for Craft, the premium pay code rate was not being used on the Labor billing calculation.
Now in a price schedule, when you specify a craft price, you can specify if the line price will be calculated using premium pay code
By default the premium pay code is not associated with craft price unless the 'Use Premium Pay Calculation Rules' check box is selected. If not selected the behavior to calculate line price in a Work Order will continue the same as previous versions.
- Run copy work orders, sales order and tickets on background
To copy the new transactions to customer billing records, client needs to select the “Copy WOs, Tickets, and SOs” button. If there are many transactions to add, it could take more than a few minutes to complete and you will be unable to continue working during this process because the screen is locked processing the copy action.
There is now a new cron task, “PLUSPCOPYBILLLINESCRONTASK”, that can be scheduled to run the copy process in the background during off hours, according to the schedule set on the cron task instance
If you need more details see the readme file, you can find more details about the new features, the included interim fixes and install instructions.
