Maximo Mobile Android-sdk install path

Abstract

Maximo Mobile Android-sdk install path

Body

I installed Maximo Mobile today and spent hours trying to figure out why I could not get packagemobileandroid to run. I know my setup was correct, no chance I did the setup wrong. After a few attempts, I decided maybe I did something wrong and I should read the install guide, my last resort to figure this out. Sure looked like I had done everything correct, I installed everything without error. I did modify the correct files entering the correct values, still no luck. The error I was getting was "Cannot find c:\Progra~1\Android\android-sdk\tools\ant\build.xml". After looking at this error for a while, my eyes glazed over. I decided to ask for help. The developer I spoke to noticed the issue, I was using a 64 bit operating system and I had installed the Android SDK in the Program Files (x86) folder and not in the Program Files folder. In windows (at least 64 bit), Progra~1 should  resolve to "Program Files", while Progra~2  should resolve to "Program Files (x86)". Looking at the path in the error I had my setAndroidEnv.cmd path set to point at the Program Files (progra~1) forlder and that is not where the SDK is installed, So long story short, one little typo can cause a big headache. Now I am off you run Maximo Mobile on my Android device..
