eAudit Long Description fields

Even though in the out-of-the-box configuration, the LONGDESCRIPTION table and its LDTEXT field are audit enabled, it does not mean all objects’ Long Description fields are audit enabled.  For audit records to be generated for a specific object’s Long Description field, you need to set the object  as well as its      DESCRIPTION_LONGDESCRIPTION field to audit-enabled. 

For example, if you'd like to audit the ASSET table's Long Description field, these steps need to be performed:          

1. In Database Configuration app, bring up ASSET object.  Check the “Audit Enabled?” field, save.                                                  

2. In the Attributes tab, bring up DESCRIPTION_LONGDESCRIPTION attribute. Check the “Audit Enabled?” field.  Save.                     

3. Run Configdb on the List page, by selecting the action menu Apply Configuration Changes.                                                    

After these steps, whenever an asset's Long Description is inserted/deleted/updated, a entry will be written to the  A_LONGDESCRIPTION table.
