Changing Labor Availability for Work Assignments

In the Assignment Manager application, you can change the availability of labor for work assignments.  The Modify Availability dialog changed in Maximo version 7.5.0.3 and now provides the ability to create multiple records for the same Work Date for an existing person or labor record. Multiple Modify Availability records can be created which may add or subtract time from the existing Work Date.  In prior versions, the Modify Availability record would replace the Work Date record for the same Work Date. 

The new Modify Availability dialog shows both the Work Dates (in the top table), and the Modify Work Date rows, which represent changes to the given Work Date (in the bottom table).  There can be multiple Modify Availability rows for a given Work Date. There are two kinds of Modify Availability records, working time and non-working time. Working time values are: Work, Extra Time and these add time to a selected Work Date. 
Non-working time subtracts time from a given Work Date, values are: Sick, Vac, Personal, and Non-Work.  A best practice is to add time only outside working start and end times and subtract time only inside working start and end times. 

The Modify Availability dialog is also accessed in the People application.
