This is my cubicle where I work. If I was good at directions, I could tell you it is located in the north-east corner of the second floor of Building 1 in Littleton. But for now, I’ll tell you its nestled in the corner of the building by beautiful pine trees. Maybe next week – we’ll explore inside
If you are using one of the integration options, you may want to know how other Maximo clients are using the reporting tool. You might want to know what server or security configurations they set up, how they are using reporting within the Maximo applications, and what types of custom reports they created. You may also want to know what type of user training they had to implement, or if the tool is used mostly by non-Maximo users for analyzing the results of Maximo.
With this in mind, we are creating a virtual group of Maximo clients using Crystal reporting. The goal of this group is to connect Maximo clients using Crystal by sharing email addresses and contact information– so you can learn from each other, and share best practices. If you are a Maximo client – on either Maximo 5, 6 or 7 – using Crystal Reporting, and would like to be a part of this virtual community, please drop me an email at pden
Also, if you need, you can download the Version 7 External Report Integration guide here. This guide details how you can integrate your report tool and reporting version of choice - within the Maximo applications. This guide was updated in November 2012 to provide additional diagrams, and details on the integration property settings and sample files.
