Are you down with PCT?

Abstract

Are you down with PCT?

Body

Those of us that remember the process of manually creating the "Webserver1" interface to enable support for WebSphere to use the IBM HTTP Server as it's front-end listener may have to do a little homework now that the process has changed with version 8 and higher of WebSphere.

WebSphere 8 introduced a new concept called the Plug-Ins Configuration Tool or PCT for short. This new tool is used to create the Plugin configuration file that you can use to create the webserver1 profile that Maximo and Maximo-based products have historically used to allow for TCP ports to be served from the IBM HTTP Server before the browser requests reach the WebSphere server.

If you're interested in how to use the PCT to create this configuration, click here or access the url below.
