Making A Task Interruptible

Technical Blog Post

Abstract

Making A Task Interruptible

Body

I was speaking with a customer and they had a few questions about scheduling work in Maximo. They had noticed that when they scheduled work, Maximo would schedule working during a non-working time when a task was present. This is because the interruptible flag is not being used. Once the flag is set, Maximo will only schedule work during working hours defined as per your calendar. On the main work order tab, there is an interruptible field on screen by default, there is none for the task. Task can be made to be interruptible as well, it just takes a slight configuration change for this to happen, the field just needs to be added to the screen. I created a document showing how this can be done, the link below will take you the created document.
