Abstract

How to mapping doclinks folder to an UNC path?

If you want to use another server as file server and mapping doclinks to an UNC path in this environment

- Windows Servers

- WebSphere platform

please follow below steps:

 

1. Create a service account or account that exists on both Maximo/HTTP Server and File Server where Doclink files are to be stored.


2.  Edit WebSphere application server for Maximo, WebSphere nodeagent for Maximo, and IBM HTTP Server in the Windows-Services panel. From its 'Log On' tab, click 'This account' , input the username and password which we created in step 1.
 

3. Re-Start WebSphere application server for Maximo, WebSphere nodeagent for Maximo, and IBM HTTP Server with the newly created service account.

 

4. Follow the steps in this Wiki

## Please notice, doclinks path is case sensitive in some databases. Please make sure upper cases and lower cases are consistent when you follow the link document.
