This global manufacturing company works with IBM Accelerated Value Program team to complete their Maximo 220.127.116.11 Upgrade. AVP enabled this customer to complete the upgrade successfully without any critical issues.

This global manufacturing company, a Fortune 500 company that produces engines, filtration, and power generation products, uses IBM Maximo as its global MRO Maintenance and Inventory Management solution. In late 2016, this customer decided to upgrade its global Maximo Enterprise solution to Maximo 7.6. Their challenges and concerns were:
> Maximo 7.5 to 7.6 product upgrade and customizations.
> Pre-migration issues and concerns
> Reports migration
> Performance Tuning
> Review all reports and version
> 6-12 Months behind on latest iFIX/Fix Packs
> Oracle and WAS upgrade concerns
The client had an aggressive deployment schedule, they partnered with AVP to implement the latest supported versions and features for Maximo 7.6. The team derived a cost- and time-effective Maximo upgrade approach.
> IBM resources from the Accelerated Value Program worked with the client to: Coordinate meetings and follow-ups with the client and IBM Development, concerning Oracle and WAS questions and concerns
> Expedite answers to Actuate Reports migrations to BIRT questions which required addressing prior to migration
> Facilitate multiple client meetings to help ensure that the client was receiving an acceptable level of assistance during their upgrade
> Provided Critical APAR Fixes to ensure the Go Live date was not affected
> Manage status updates and actions plans for migration preparation
The Manufacturer concerns were quickly resolved as the AVP team engaged with IBM product and Support teams. Working with their AVP team, they received the following services to help with their Maximo 18.104.22.168 upgrade:

> AVP team also worked closely with the client’s Support Partner to facilitate an effective and efficient working relationship between the two during the upgrade.
The Accelerated Value Program provided this customer with a single point of contact (AVL and AVS) to manage and escalate requests, and to deliver experienced advice on its Maximo migration planning activities.
The Manufacturer’s Maximo 22.214.171.124 upgrade completed on time and without any critical issues arising and with a decrease in customization. The client expressed their appreciation of the involvement and support of their AVP team.
