There's a way to attribute cost and/or currency variances to a Storeroom...

There is a flag that can be set to capture cost and currency variance which will attribute these amounts to the variance accounts for the Storeroom.  To set this option:
1.  Go To Administration | Organizations.
2.  Open the record for the Organization.
3.  Select Action | Inventory Options | Inventory Defaults.
      Note: There is a check-box labeled "Update cost/currency variances on inventory costs?".

With this option enabled, Maximo will write the cost and currency differences from the INVOICETRANS table to the variance accounts for the storeroom affected. If the check box is cleared, Maximo does not write any cost and currency variance amounts to the variance accounts for the storeroom.

Additional Notes:
-Cost differences are updated for items that are not capitalized.
-Tax differences for the inventory cost are updated when there are differences between the invoice tax values and the tax values on the corresponding matched receipt lines for the invoice lines against the storeroom.
