Windows Server 2003 ended its extended support last July 14, 2015. Microsoft will no longer issue security updates for any version of Windows Server 2003. Microsoft suggests that partners and customers migrate to supported products to protect your infrastructure.
BigFix Patch, in turn, will no longer provide security and non-security content and support for any version of Windows Server 2003. However, users of existing Windows Server 2003 content can still go through the standard IBM support channels to raise concerns and for troubleshooting support.
Customers who signed contracts with Microsoft for extended support for Windows Server 2003 are suggested to get in touch with the IBM Professional Services team to get future support for IBM BigFix Patch for Windows 2003 patching.
To detect Windows Server 2003 machines, you can use the audit Fixlet, Fixlet ID 355: Microsoft Unsupported: Windows Server 2003. The Fixlet is published in the Patching Support site, version 372.
