Scenario: I have a list of common form elements that are used on almost every form. they may consist of things like a list of Depts. Sections with Contact info (name, email, phone) or simple checkboxes to be included in a newsletter. Right now if you want to reuse an element from a form you have to...
- Have access to the original form to see how the item was created (think dropdown with service)
- Manually recreate it on every form you want to use it.
- in the case of dropdowns, retype the entire option list each time (there is no import/export function for list options) - think about lists of Country and States.
It would be really nice if we could save a form element or collection of form elements to a common library that was shared accross the FEB install. either a personal library with just your common elements, or an enterprise library. Users could select those elements and drag/drop them onto a form similar to dragging dropping any other element.
These would function as an Import/Export function for just form elements. The elements would not update across all forms/apps if the single element were updated elsewhere (That would prevent an "ooops i changed it on this form and it changed it everywhere" syndrome.
