Accedian Metro Ethernet Technology Pack
Accedian Metro Ethernet Technology Pack is an updated technology pack in this release.
The MetroNID family of Accedian products provide 10/100/1000 speed Ethernet and are MEF and NEBS compliant. They support flow based traffic statistics, traffic shaping, bandwidth policing, and port aggregation (trunking). While data is available via SNMP, due to the complexity of the tables (5-minute
average table, 10-minute average tables, etc) it is the bulk format of the Accedian data that is processed.
The Accedian Metro Ethernet pack supports both EtherNID and MetroNID product families. Further details on Accedian’s EtherNID and MetroNID product families can be found on their website at:
There is a need to support ITU-T Y.1731 standard in the upgrade pack. ITU-T Y.1731 is a telecommunication standard for OAM mechanism for Ethernet-based networks. Many network operators and network providers opt for the Y.1731 Ethernet OAM (Operations, Administration & Maintenance) standard. The Y.1731 recommends performance monitoring (PM) and connectivity fault management (CFM) features that allows comprehensive tools to monitor the quality of service.Cisco CBQoS Technology Pack
Cisco CBQoS Technology Pack is an updated pack in this release. Cisco provides in its IOS a capability called Modular (Class-Based) Quality of Service (QoS) that is supported by CBQoS MIB. This allows service providers to configure interfaces to recognize classes of traffic and perform traffic-engineering actions upon the packets within those traffic classes.
This results in classification of traffic patterns. The Modular QoS Command Line Interface (CLI) enables a user to configure various classes of traffic types and actions for the classified traffic. In this updated Cisco CBQoS technology pack, there are no changes on the set of KPIs collected. The Cisco CBQoS Technology Pack collects performance and accounting data using an SNMP collection model. This technology pack requires read-only access to the SNMP Agents associated with the Cisco Class-Based QoS devices that provide SNMP Agent support.GenBand C20 Converged IP Softswitch Technology Pack
Formerly, this technology pack is known as Nortel CS2000 Technology Pack.
Genband C20 Converged IP Softswitch Technology Pack provides performance reporting for the Genband C20 solution, which is aimed at the VoIP Carrier, VoIP Service Providers and large Enterprises.
Genband C20 Converged IP Softswitch Technology Pack provides true carrier class circuit-to-packet migration solutions enabling a full set of business telephony services as well as local, long distance and international capability on a single platform.
For this upgrade release to CVM15, two new devices are supported; namely the Adaptive Application Server (A2) and Media Application Server (MAS). A2 hosts a full-set of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) features, gateway and media server components for SIP interoperability. MAS is a software-based, media processing server.Juniper RSVP Tunnel Technology Pack
Juniper RSVP Tunnel Technology Pack is a new technology pack introduced in this release.
The Juniper MPLS Tunnel and RSVP Session provides information about MPLS Tunnel volume, throughput, and availability, as well as RSVP Session volume and throughput.
The Juniper RSVP Tunnel Technology Pack uses the latest MIB table information (mplsLspInfoList) from Juniper that deprecated the previous MIB table (mplsLspList).UBA PVLine Format Technology Pack
Previously, BCOL is used to import data into Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager DataMart with its supported file format called PVLine. Now UBA has become the primary mechanism to import the data into Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager DataMart thus a UBA adaptor is developed to parse generic PVLine file format within Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager.
