Even though I’m publishing this on April Fool’s Day... it is real news! Today is the opening of the call for speakers for IBM’s Information on Demand Conference. You have from now till Friday April 26 to send in your proposal to speak at this conference.
If you’ve never been to the conference before, you should know that it is a huge conference that regularly attracts greater than 10,000 attendees. This year it takes place in Las Vegas from Nov 3 - 7. This will be the 8th anniversary of this event... and it grows larger and more important every year because data is becoming more important every year!
Speakers are wanted for a large number of areas. Last year we had 700 Technical Education Sessions. 110 Hands On Labs. 300 Customer Speakers. And several Usability Sandboxes. As you can imagine, we have need for many many speakers!
This year’s focus areas are:
Emerging big data technologies
Database servers & tools
Data warehousing & analytics
Information integration & governance
Information solution architecture
For further information on the target audience, the selection process, and more, see this letter from this year’s conference chair Steven Miller.
Don’t miss this opportunity to be part one of the best industry conferences of the year.
