Earlier this year, Martin Hubel & I were guest judges with Klaas Brant on a special 8-week DB2’s Got Talent competition on the DB2Night Show, hosted by Scott Hayes. We learned a lot in the process and met many amazingly talented people!
Today, Crysta Anderson published an interview she had with Martin: Martin Hubel: DB2 Availability in a Faster, Global World on her Master Data Management blog. I mentioned to Crysta about the show Martin & I did together and she was unaware that this had taken place. I thought it might be a good idea to post today about this event as it was truly an amazing experience. Here are the blog entries I did about the show:
And just an update on the winner. The winner chose to go to IDUG Prague… so Enjoy!
Also, Martin will be live on the DB2Night Show this Friday, Sept 30 from 11-12. The topic is “Index Deisgn, Myths, and Realities”. You may get a kick out of one of Martin’s favourite sayings: “A lot of people add indexes to their database, but I’ve made a living of removing them.”
