One day I’ll visit India, but right now I’m satisfied with eating the fabulous India food at nearby restaurants and building my network of talented people who live and work in India.
The first group of people I want to mention are the contestants who have competed in the “DB2 has Talent” competition that has taken place this month on the DB2 Night Show. I didn’t take note of how many of the contestants were in India, but I’m thinking nearly half… If you’ve missed any of the sessions, I highly encourage you to listen to the replays. You’ll benefit from the educational and thorough presentations that have taken place.

Next, Shroff Publishers who have built a substantial collection of books that range from printed IBM Redbooks to IBM Press to MC Press books. These are produced locally in India and priced in the local currency. You’ll be surprised at the selection of books that are already available and I’m working on getting more added all the time.
And last, but not least are my IBM counterparts. They have been busy planning the IBM Information Management Technical Conference which will take place in Bangalore the week of March 16. The sessions look amazing, so if you are in the area, you should plan to go.
