I’ve been a fan and a contributor of developerWorks since it first began. I’m gaining a whole new
appreciation for this major competitive advantage: I’m a temporary member of
the dW team while one of the brilliant editors is on a leave. I must say, I
have huge shoes to fill, but I’m lucky that the team surrounding me is very

It’s all about being social these days! There is much value in interacting
with our customers, partners, competitors, collaborators, and fellow employees
around the world. We can only benefit in all of our objectives by embracing
ideas from the many people in the world that have opinions on what we do.
Before I buy anything of value, I first search the internet for customer

people are able to get budget to travel to the big conferences such as IDUG or IOD. The next best thing is to
attend regional user conferences that bring the best of the best speakers to a
location close to your home or office.
The are many regional user groups that take place regularly across the world,

were looking for in the first place.
My intention for this blog entry is to help those who use the DB2 for z/OS

I like to believe that we all “have a book in us”. I’ve written two books
and found it hard work, but very gratifying to accomplish such a feat. I know
many authors and most feel the same way. You can tell by looking at how many
people become repeat authors!
