Sterling application framework allows extending the existing database by creating new columns in existing tables, creating new custom independent tables and creating a custom table having a relationship with the out of the box table. Such custom tables having relationship with an existing out of the box table is called as Hang off table. This tech doc will provide a brief overview of hang off table, steps for creating the hang off tables, how to insert records in hang off table and how to modify the existing API templates to incorporate the hang-off attributes.
