IBM Sterling B2B Integrator Configuration and Protocol Error Messages

Often PMRs are opened with error messages that indicate a configuration, network or protocol errors these include Authentication and Handshake failures, connection time-outs,  AS2 EDIINTPipelineParse failures, CloseCode:ConnectionReset just to name a few. Errors in this vane do not indicate IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI) product defects but rather a configuration or network related issues. Ideally, for authentication and handshake failures you would obtain a network packet trace (or using wireshark ) and review this either yourself or by your network team. Again this is not an SI product issue but rather a mismatch between what you have configured and what your trading partner has configured. SI support often assists you in these matters but ideally these troubleshooting skills should exist within your organization and the matter resolved more expeditiously using your own network support team. If the network packet trace points to something within the SI product certainly this matter falls under your support contract with IBM.
