Abstract

How to Start the Graphical Process Modeler Locally in a Unix-Linux Tunneling Environment

Body

1) Open  a PuTTY client on your Windows Server

 

2) Configure an SSH Session to the Sterling Integrator server

3) Go to SSH > Tunnels and setup a port forwarding

 

            a) Add a Source Port. Choose an available Port on your Windows Server

                        I chose 2525

 

            b) Add the Destination Server and base Port of the Sterling Integrator install

                        In my example SI was installed here: b2b-juno.dub.usoh.ibm.com:9000

           

            c) Click the Add button to load the port forwarding

 

            d) Click open to establish the SSH tunnel. You should be prompted with a Putty login screen to the remote Sterling Integrator Server

                Enter the login credentials. User/Pass

4) Now you have a PuTTY SSH session with Tunneling established between your Windows Client and the Sterling Integrator Server on the SI dashboard port.

You can now open the Graphic Process Modeler in two ways on the Windows Client.


a) In a Web Browser go directly to the ProcessModeler.jnlp using the localhost instead of the Sever IP and the Source Port configured in your SSH     Port Forwarding.

This will prompt you to download the ProcessModeler.jnlp

http://localhost:2525/gbm/pmodeler/ProcessModeler.jnlp


b) Log into Sterling Integrator Dashboard using the localhost instead of the Sever IP and the Source Port configured in your SSH Port Forwarding. Then launch the GPM from the Dashboard GUI.
