AS2 Compression in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator

IBM Sterling B2B Integrator supports compression of data. The compression levels can be selected in AS2 Partner profile in Compress Data field. The Compress Data fields have below settings.

None

Low

Medium

High

Default

 

Below is the meaning of each compression level.

•None = 0
•Low = 1
•Medium = 8
•High = 9
•Default = 9

 

Overall as the numeric value of the compression level increases, 0 to 9, the level of compression also increases along with the amount of resources (CPU/Time) to conduct the compression.
Compression Level of 0 result in lowest Compression but it will be the fastest considering time to compress.

Compression Level of 9 is the best compression but it will take longer time to compress.
As you increase the compression ratio it takes more time to compress.
