Enterprises everywhere are addressing mobile technologies, and providing access to their enterprise data on mobile devices. And with this mobility comes obvious concerns about security. Mobile devices have a habit of being lost or stolen (1 in 20 mobile devices will suffer this fate) so protecting that enterprise data is of primary concern. And that's the theme behind our latest IBM Redbooks publication: Securing Your Mobile Business with IBM Worklight.
In the book our team of subject matter experts got together to address the question: "how can we use IBM Worklight to keep mobile data secure". We addressed this question from multiple angles. First, there's the underlying security architecture. Worklight can sit on top of an existing security infrastructure, complimenting it with mobile-specific functions. And then there are specific things Worklight can do with security when you build your mobile apps. Features such as storing offline data securely on your mobile device, and having the ability to remotely disable or update apps.
