Welcome to my blog. My name is Albert T. Wong and although I've had many different jobs in IBM, from selling Open Source Services solutions in IBM Global Services to selling IBM Middleware in IBM Software Group and of course, delivering the final solution to customers, within my heart I've always had a fondness for the pro-openess of Open Computing. I started with Open Computing within IBM years ago when Apache Struts just came out and I was trying to get it to run in IBM Visual Age 3.5 and IBM WebSphere 3.5 (things have come a LONG way since then). During that time, few thought that Open Computing, whether it be Linux (which is where a large amount of the current revenue opportunity exists) or Open Source software (where I believe where the new money will be) will become what it is today. During that time, I've been exposed to Open Computing from the Fortune 1000 / "enterprise" point of view and I hope to share my experiences with you.
Pragmatic viewpoints of Open Computing
