During 2012, I formed a information-centric team that was tasked to look at all the PowerVM related information and create a new organization to the materials. This organization would become a template for future materials. The idea was to simplify the information's structure, and to help someone immediately become familiar with a publication, without knowing its organization.
The idea was that all information could fall into four general buckets, Overview, Plan, Install, and Setup. From there we looked at the PowerVM topic, and arranged it into subcategories of processor, memory, I/O, server, and management.
It may not seem like a lot from the outside, but it was a huge undertaking. The books were completely reorganized, and information from outside Redbooks was brought in so that the PowerVM Introduction and PowerVM Managing and Monitoring publications were as complete as possible. Hope you enjoy!
