I am a few days late posting this due to business travel and the 4th of July holiday in the United States this week but I wanted to post here that WS-SecurityPolicy is now an OASIS Standard. You can read the OASIS announcement for additional details.
WS-SecurityPolicy is the third of three key Web Services specifications that the Web Services Secure Exchange (WSSX) Technical Committee has produced and taken to OASIS Standard. The other two being WS-Trust and WS-SecureConversation.
The WS-SecurityPolicy spec defines a framework for allowing webservices to express their constraints and requirements (in terms ofsecurity). The advancement of this spec to OASIS Standard marks anotherkey piece of the Web Services Security Roadmap falling into place.
You can find the specs in various formats by following the links in the OASIS announcement but for simplicity here is a pointer to the PDF version of the spec.
My congratulations to the members of the WSSX TC for this very significant achievement.
