Open SOA Collaboration Chooses OASIS to Advance SCA and SDO Specifications
I have posted here before about two important and evolving technologies (SCA and SDO). By way of a quick reminder, SCA is short for Service Component Architecture and SDO is short for Service Data Objects. These specifications focus on making it easier to define and compose services and to facilitate uniform access to data.
A few days ago, the Open SOA Collaboration (OSOA.org) which has been evolving these specifications, announced that the SCA and SDO specs are going to be submitted to OASIS.
I just saw that Dana Gardner, over at ZDNet, has written up his opinions and analysis of this announcement which you can find by visiting his blog.
You can find a lot more detail about SCA and SDO by following the linksabove.
I'm pleased to see these important specs continuing to evolve along the open standards path. Some good people have worked very hard to make this happen. I congratulate all involved for their hard work and dedication.
