Just launched today. The Lotus Connections Development wiki was formed as customers have asked for step-by-step instructions to deploy our products based on configurations and scenarios that are tested by IBM. This wiki includes three deployment scenarios validated through system verification testing as well as step-by-step deployment instructions from the Lotus Connections information development team. In addition, IBMers, customers, and partners will also be able to share their deployment experiences and best practices. IBM wiki participants will be able to continue to update the tested scenarios and add new information so that customers have comprehensive step-by-step instructions. Customers are encouraged to post comments on the existing scenarios and to share their own experiences or best practices.

I was listening to the Empowering People Podcast with Dwight Morse when I came across this nice video on Enterprise Uses of Social Networks.
Many argue that Social Networks are a dangerous model for sharing confidential or proprietary information and that their employees are distracted enough at work without something like Facebook competing for their time. Others such as IBM claim that its Blue Pages social intranet is an invaluable tool to help people stationed all over the world connect. Pharmaceutical company Pfizer successfully uses a Wikipedia-like service called Pfizerpedia. Ultimately, all companies need to set rules that determine acceptable use for social networking.
