My buddy and partner in crime, Maureen Leland, has written an article to explain the use of View Controls within Workplace Designer. We have a little thing going where she tries to use her puppies in all the demos we do together, and I resist, usually to no avail, but sometimes. It looks like the pendulum has swung away from my boring tasklist component demo to the Iris Kennel Club demo, first made famous in a Domino Designer talk.
f you don't care about any of that, just read the article and learn about how views are handled in Workplace Designer.
Building Views in Workplace Designer 2.6
Build views in IBM Workplace Designer 2.6 that provide a rich set offunctions to display documents. Combined with familiar renderingoptions, such as categorization, image columns, and more, these viewsoffer you flexible and powerful ways to collect, to display, and tomanipulate data.
And, these are due to become even more powerful in the release we are currently working on, including a reusable View Query (the 'what documents and columns do I want' part of the view) and use of relational queries with a View Control. But, more on that later.
