Our favorite product was released 15 years ago today. It's always interesting to take a walk down memory lane by reading the History of Notes and Domino.
I was in support in 1989 and we eventually rolled out Notes to everyone and it became a core part of our customer service processes - everything from solving open tickets to writing technotes was done in Notes. Believe it or not, when I first started in Customer Support, when we took a Customer Service Request (CSR), we wrote it down on a piece of paper! (Okay, now I feel like the guy who used to wax poetically about the good old days of punchcards fed into a mainframe running in Dallas...)
With Notes, we could enter these CSR's online and other people could help solve the problem by providing responses. Reputations were made based on your ability to answer those questions for other people in the department. Our entire organization changed as a result. Now, that's power.
I'm sure lots of people have similar stories about Notes. And it still has the power to change an organization. Just check out one of our many business partners, who have excellent case studies available, or go to the Lotus Software News page and have a look.
May your LotusScript always compile (and run) without errors.
