Gosh I don't see this as Bart vs Nelson. Rather, it seems to me that IBM/Lotus has tried taking the higher road and spending most of the time developing and marketing best-of-breed products, often ignoring FUD that should be able to be ignored. But when Microsoft drills the same FUD snippet over and over, there MUST be a response from IBM. Otherwise - as we've seen - the press and others begin to believe the FUD, since they do not hear a clear and forceful rebuttal.This is not at all defensive. This is the 'defense' of a clear offense, part of which is the parry and counter-punch!
