I totally agree with you on that.
 
But isn't that the job of a department that has been called "(Technical) Product Marketing" in the good old days of Informix ?
 
I believe that this is something that doesn't seem to exist in IBM or at least is not visible to the outside world. Although I believe that we need some interesting whiter papers that describe the superior qualities of IDS in a comprehensible way. Those white papers need to be distributed at any Informix Infobahn, Technical Roadhow, User Group Workshop, OnCampus Event to spread the word about the capabilities Informix.
 
Those white papers most be eye-catching when you visit the new "Discover the new face Informix" website.
