Hello!
Many have been utilizing the light weight deployment solution i.e. IBM Data Server Driver Package that provides run-time support for applications without the need to install Run-time Client/Data Server Client. We already have DS Driver install demos for Windows out there, but not for Unix platforms, So, I would like to take this opportunity to share a demo of IBM Data Server Driver install in a Unix environment. This specific scenario of V10.5 FP4 DS driver in Linux environment.
Pre-requisites:
Download the DSdriver image from /support/pages/node/318421 for Linux 64-bit, x86-64 on AMD64 and Intel EM64T
Install steps:

Sourcing the db2profile manually for DS driver (This step has been documented in our knowledge center) is important for certain operations otherwise you might run into errors. Note the LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/mary/dsdriver/./lib: from db2profile (generated as part of installDSDriver script) is set in the environment.
