Abstract

IBM Text Search

Body

IBM DB2 Text Search provides extensive capabilities for searching data in text columns that are stored in a DB2 table. The search system provides fast query response times and a consolidated, ranked result set that quickly and easily locates the information that you require.

But we have some restrictions.  I'm trying to list some of them as below.

No exactly maching term in Fuzzy search result

The Fuzzy search result with the search key string in Japanese contains NOTHING even if the normal search result with the same search key string in Japanese contains some rows.

Because IBM Text Search utilizes the N-gram segmentation technique or the morphological analysis technique in the text index and in the Basic text search, but not in the Fuzzy text search.
