SQL routines are created within DB2 and consist of compiled SQL/PL. External routines, are applications created in a common programming language such as C or Java.

I thought I would get my BLOG started by saying I'm excited about 12.10 the latest and greatest INFORMIX
DYNAMIC SERVER which was available for download as of March 26.
When downloading the product from Passport Advantage (PPA) you will notice a new naming convention.
In a nutshell, as far as name changes go, Growth became Workgroup, Ultimate became Enterprise, and Warehouse became Advanced.

You, obviously, ask for the media (CD/DVD/zip) to install it, but, then you realize that you have to obtain it from wherever it's legal to obtain. Question now is... where? how?
Here are some links to download installation packages of InfoSphere DataStage Server 8.7 for different operating systems from IBM Passport Advantage.
So start downloading and install IS DataStage!!
