The first night at the expo floor, the attendees came in droves to visit the Electronic Support pedestal. Definitely, one of the most visited spots that evening. Lots of interest by clients and business partners wanting to know, what is Electronic Support by IBM? Is there a fee? How can it help them is the execution of their day to day IT admin jobs? Without a question, the Support Portal concept hit home with just about everyone, who has to maintain systems and software for their company. Clients are seeking ways to simplify their daily work lifes and save time. They like that they can go to one place and find all of their support needs. Many of our clients have found it difficult to find the information they need in the past, they know it exists in IBM's knowledge databases, but at times it has been a painful experience to go through. Now, they can visualize how the IBM Support Portal, can significantly reduce that pain, and make it easier to get to and leverage the vast and free knowledge that is available to them from IBM. It was suprising to see, that there are still many IBM customers, who do not know or use our free proactive subscription service. After seeing the timely information it can provide to them, to help them prevent system outages and maintain their systems, many clients, realized they were missing out on a critical information feed from IBM, that they definitely intend to use, as soon as they get back to their office. In addition, they were delighted to see how easy it is to use My Notifications, and create and customize their subscriptions.
