My Notifications keeps you informed. This post described how you can create subscriptions for information you are interested in receiving, based on your IBM web profile. Still highlighting Fix Central as July's featured Electronic Support tool, I'd like to mention how Fix Central integrates with My Notifications.
To the end user, the subscription process is still the same as described in the May blog post. As you are going through the subscription process, you might want to take note of some specific document types. Under the Downloads and drivers section, Updates will provide notifications to all fixes. Additionally, there is a Fixes section where you can select a subset of fix categories.

Ok, so what are some benefits of doing this? You can have multiple subscriptions on multiple products for a specific purpose. For example, I need to ensure that my business is up and running at all times and therefore I am adamant about checking for maintenance and whether or not it is related to High-Impact / Pervasive issues (HIPER). I can set up a specific My Notifications subscription to alert me every morning for HIPER fixes. It saves me time and helps me achieve my goal of keeping my business runnning. So I could end up with something like this:
