For example, if you happen to be searching for WebSphere Portal fixes, choosing include prerequisite and co-requisite fixes will also get you related WebSphere Application Server fixes, saving you time from having to check out each product.
Sure, there are a lot of fixes out there, but I really only care about the ones that I can apply to my system(s) now , you know, what I have installed. or ones that I want to plan for an upgrade. The Installed version for Software is what you currently have installed on your system(s).
So, you've been waiting patiently for the official fix to an APAR you reported and, and you see that Hurray! the fix for my APAR is now available. To get as large a result set as possible associated with your APAR, I suggest using the wildcard character (*) before and after each APAR. It would look something like this...
OK, we know that a LOT of fixes can show up in your result sets, so you might want to refine the choices. Fix Central provides filtering based on fix attributes. For System x, the default view is based on categories, so you can easily jump around based on various attributes or categories associated with the result set.
For Software fixes, you can currently do this from the list view.
