All Roads Lead from the IBM Support Portal

IBM Support Portal. Let me show you how...
We'll start with the items listed under the Prevent problems and stay current section. You can subscribe to My Notifications
by selecting 'My IBM' from the main masthead and then selecting the 'Subscriptions' option on that menu.
Just follow the subscription panels and once you have completed your subscription, any new notifications will be placed in the
Notifications portlet on the main Support Portal Page.
The alerts and flashes has its own portlet on the main Support Portal page.
You can get to the Electronic Service Agent from the Support services portlet - again, on the main support portal page.
Now let's move on to the Find information section. For Technical Support information, from the main overview page, you can either select 'My IBM' from the masthead and click 'My Technical Support', or click expand and click one of the links in the Support resources, Product related links or Overview portlets on the right.
and then those options appear in the Documentation portlet on the right side of the portal page.
Continuing on to the Download fixes and upgrades section, to get to Fix Central and Recommended fixes, simply click on 'Downloads' from the Choose your task menu (see previous graphic) and you will see a link for iIx Central in your Featured download links portlet, based on product selection (In my example, I have WebSphere Application Server.) and also a Recommended fixes portlet. Additionally , the Downloads and fixes portlet provides links to fixes for products in your product list.
Up next, the Troubleshoot problems section.... I'm going to start sounding like a broken record....but it really is just this easy. Click on 'Troubleshooting' from the
Choose your task menu and you will see a Troubleshooting portlet with links to both IBM Assist on-site and IBM Support Assistant.
You can actually get to My Systems Inventory using the Electronic Service Agent .

From the Overview main page of the IBM Support Portal (just click 'Overview' from the Choose your task menu)
There is a Training portlet with links to IBM Education Assistant, training courses and professional certifications.
This is based on the specific products you selected to be included in your product list in the quickstart or manage product list menu,
so you get only relevant information.
Down to the last section ... Contact IBM Support
For IBM Service Request, simply click, you guessed it, on 'Service requests' from the Choose your task menu.
And finally, you can get to the IBM Planet Wide directory from the Support Resources portlet by clicking on the
'Support phone numbers and contacts' link. (See the 5th screenshot in this article.)
With all the electronic support resources available at the end of your mouse click, why would you need to pick up a phone?
