New: My product list
Clients can now create custom lists of products. Up to 100 individual product versions (for example IBM Product 5.3.1) may be included in each list. The custom lists can be used to view product lifecycle details, subscribe to news feeds, and download lifecycle data. Unlike the “generic” news feed and data downloads that only include product lifecycle changes from the past 14 days, news feeds and data downloads for custom product lists include all available lifecycle data for all the products in your list.
Creating a custom product list
To create a custom product list, just start selecting products from any page on the Software Lifecycle site—including search results, the browse by brand pages, and the Software A-Z page. As you select each product it is added to your list automatically. The status of your list is shown in the “My product list” module at the top of the right column. You can deselect a product on the page to remove it from your list, or use the “View & manage your list” link in the “My product list” module.
At any time, you can use the links in the “My product list” module to view lifecycle details, or access the news feed or data download, for all the products in your list. You can also modify your list at any time during your browser session by using the “View & manage your list” link or by selecting additional products.
Saving a custom product list
To save your list, view the lifecycle details for your list and then bookmark that page. You can create many separate lists by bookmarking them individually. To reload a saved list, just load its bookmarked URL in your web browser.
Improved search results
The “Search software lifecycle” feature has been improved to favor more recent product versions when the result set is near the limit. Also, when the result set is near the limit, a notice appears warning that some results may not be shown, and suggesting you enter a more specific search term.
“Lotus” product family renamed to “Collaboration Solutions”
The software product family formerly known as “Lotus” has been renamed to “Collaboration Solutions”. The product content has not changed.
