Technical Blog Post

Abstract

Insufficient JDBC data source connections can lead to performance and E_FAILED_TO_GET_DATASOURCE errors for Content Engine

Body

If you you are seeing performance issues or unexplained hangs with IBM FileNet Content Engine then you may need to check the number of connections that are configured in your JDBC data sources. There is a new technote that talks about this issue: /support/pages/node/265125

Also, you should check out a previous blog entry that describes how to fine tune the number of JDBC data source connections.
