Vice President, Rational Complex & Embedded Systems
This famous photo shows some of the greatest scientific minds of the last century, all together for a group photo. This version was colorized which makes it a bit surreal. It was taken at the Solvay Conference in 1927 and includes Einstein, Curie, Bohr, Planck, and others. I can only imagine that the side conversations in that conference must have been historic. In one exchange between Einstein and Bohr regarding the Uncertainty Principle, Einstein remarked "God does not play dice". Bohr replied, "Einstein, stop telling God what to do".
This photo does remind me that the innovations created today by all of us, are always built on the works of our predecessors.
